Baseball Europe Africa Qualifier - Official Payoff

Italy getting ready to host the WBSC Baseball Europe-Africa Qualifier


The WBSC Baseball Europe-Africa Qualifying Event for the Games of the XXXII Olympiad Tokyo 2020 will start in Bologna and Parma, Italy, on Wednesday, 18 September. The Qualifier will be a six-team tournament, based on a single round-robin format for a total of 15 games. The winner will advance to the Olympics.

South Africa is so far the only National Team qualified for the Europe Africa Baseball Qualifier. The other participants will be the top five finishers of the twelve-team Baseball European Championship, that is set to begin on Saturday, 7 September, in Bonn and Solingen, Germany. The first four National Teams to qualify will be the winners of the quarter-finals on Friday, 13 September. The fifth will be the winner of the fifth-place game on Saturday, 14 September.

Game times will be 1.30 and 8 pm (CEST). The Nino Cavalli stadium in Parma will host 2 games on 18, 20 and 22 September and one game on 19 and 21 September. The Gianni Falchi stadium in Bologna will host two games on 19 and 21 September and one on 18, 20 and 22 September.

The provisional SCHEDULE of the WBSC Baseball Europe-Africa Qualifier

The Local Organizing Committees (LOCs) in Parma and Bologna announced ticket prices. A tournament ticket will be available in each venue at a price of € 50 for the eight games.

The single-game tickets will be priced € 10 for the 1.30 pm games and € 15 for the 8 pm games.

The day ticket will be available at € 20.

Children aged 12 or under will have free access.
